I pulled all of my onions out of the ground earlier this week. Not newly 1/3 of my garden is empty. I haven't started any plants, and greenhouses and nurseries are already thinking about poinsettias.
A few other suggestions I got by email. Thank you all for the suggestions!
Cold loving veggies. Leafy greens, broccoli, brussels sprouts, and many more, especially if you can easily hoop and extend season a bit!
potatoes, salad, beans, sun flower seeds planted thick enough to harvest as sprouts, cilantro...I love lammas
plant some beets or turnips! If you are worried about proper rotation, try not to plant another bulb/root crop..so stick with greens such as lettuce or spinach.
Josh, I'm planting carrots, beets, and daikon. In a couple of weeks, lettuce, spinach and I'm going to try late peas.
